Update on the Lost Dog: She’s Back Home!

If you recall, a beautiful dog was found on the Glenn Highway the other day. Well, a friend of the owner saw the Craiglist post and dog and owner were reunited! By the way, her name is Shadow.

Here’s a little bit of what happened…

Shadow was out 4-wheeling with her owners near the Matanuska glacier when she must have gotten spooked and ran off. This happened the same day that she was found on the highway. The owner lives in Palmer but returned over the next several days looking for her, worried that she might encounter coyotes or other wildlife out there all alone.

The owner must have told a friend in the area that he Shadow was missing because the friend is the one that initially called after seeing a flyer the dog rescuers sent to local businesses in the area. This friend then put the owner in touch with the rescuers who put him in touch with the person who was taking care of Shadow during this time.

It was a happy ending and Shadow was so happy to see her owners when they came to get her!

Gotta love a happy ending.
