Marian Call Concert in Tok, Alaska

We had the honor of hosting Marian Call and Seth Boyer at our place this past weekend, an all-ages concert open to the Tok Community.

Special thanks to Duct Tape Radio and Humanities Forum and Beaver Fever Cafe for sponsoring this event for our community.

Here are some pictures from the event.

Sound check in the late afternoon. Marian and Seth drove all day from Haines to make the concert.

Handmade signs along the Alaska Highway. The concert also made the Mukluk News and was all over Facebook.

Guests attended from all over including a number of cyclists just passing through as well as folks from Tok and Juneau.

Light refreshments were served as well as fruit smoothies from local business owner Maggie and Beaver Fever Cafe.

Marian and Seth kicked off the concert under a blue, blue sky.

We hope to have more concerts soon. Contemplating a Karaoke Party as well.

Enjoy your summer!

Reading about your concert makes me think back with fond memories to other concerts in Tok in the summer behind Buddy and Heather Johnson’s house and at Fast Eddies in the winter. Thanks for the updates.
